It's National "Eat Italian Food" Day Every Day at Gourmondo
Today is National “Eat Italian Food” Day (February 13) and what better time to celebrate Gourmondo’s love of all things Italian!
As an Italian-American whose great-great grandmother emigrated to the United States from Italy, our founder Alissa Leinonen paid homage to her roots on Gourmondo’s very first menu more than 20 years ago. And we continue to do so to this day. Gourmondo offers a vast selection of Italian favorites, from pastas to paninis and everything in between.
Here’s our mouthwatering breakdown:
Our vegetarian Linguini Alla Funghi featuring wild mushrooms & spinach tossed in white truffle oil is an all-time favorite, while the Prosciutto di Parma Pasta with asparagus, & caramelized onions tossed in smoked tomato and garlic cream sauce pleases the carnivorous crowd. Buffet Package Menus: Sinatra & Sicilian
Gourmondo’s chefs have created a variety of beautifully designed new Buffet Package Menus, organized by themes to make it just a bit easier to order for your next catered event or meeting. Each package menu includes an entrée a side dish and a salad - and two of them scream Italy!
First, we have the Sinatra, featuring traditional Bolognese based lasagna, roasted vegetable lasagna, grilled broccolini with lemon and Caesar salad with house-made herbed croutons.
Next, we have the Sicilian package menu, showcasing creamy Marsala sauce over roasted chicken breast and a wild mushroom sauté, herb-roasted new potatoes, seasonal mixed greens salad with dried cherries & house-made balsamic vinaigrette.

Panini Box Lunches: Paninis Galore
From classics like our Caprese Panini and Portobello Mushroom Panini to Gourmondo’s twist on the Banh Mi (we offer veggie and chicken!), each panini is carefully prepared fresh each day on a Le Panier baguette and delivered to your door or desk with our signature box lunch, which comes with Pop Chips, a mixed green salad with dried cherries and house-made balsamic vinaigrette, a mini chocolate bundt cake, utensils and a mint.
Exactly one year ago, we decided as a company to put our most popular boxed lunch - the Roast Turkey Panini – to work for the greater good. Gourmondo made a pledge to donate a portion of the proceeds of each Roast Turkey Panini ordered to the ACLU of Western Washington. Since February 2017, Gourmondo has donated more than $15,000 to the ACLU. Coincidentally, you can read more about our founder’s roots and Gourmondo’s intention behind the ACLU donations here.
