Philanthropy has been part of Gourmondo’s foundation from the beginning. We are a local Seattle business that loves our city and the people who supported us as we grew. Giving back to them will always be a priority, and food is a timeless and comforting way to do so.
That’s why giving is part of our daily operations. We believe everyone deserves to eat well, and we’ve built long-term partnerships with nonprofits that share our vision for equity and care. These relationships help us put our resources, time, and food to good use.

Community Giving
In our community giving efforts, we focus our efforts on causes we care deeply about: fighting food insecurity, helping at-risk youth, protecting immigrant rights, finding solutions for chronic homelessness, and strengthening our local community. Our contributions take different forms, including the edible - providing meals to food banks and non-profits; the financial - donating proceeds from our Giving Boxes; and the professional - offering internships in our company.
In 2025 Gourmondo was honored for the sixth time by the Puget Sound Business Journal Corporate Citizenship Award, recognizing our commitment to regional philanthropic efforts. This prestigious award celebrates companies that integrate philanthropy into their core mission, and we are proud to be recognized for our dedication to supporting the communities we serve.
Our Giving Boxes
Gourmondo's Giving Box program was created to support local nonprofits addressing food insecurity, youth development, and community resilience. With every box purchased, we donate a portion of proceeds to partner organizations, creating a simple yet powerful way for customers to give back while enjoying thoughtfully created gourmet offerings.
Every Giving Box includes Gourmondo Sea Salt Potato Chips, a mixed green salad (with sandwich boxes), a mini chocolate dessert, utensils, and a napkin - as well as a card introducing the organization your order supports.

Community Food Donations
At Gourmondo, we believe good food should never go to waste. Through our Community Food Donation Program, we proudly partner with three local non-profit organizations to donate unsold food from our cafes every week. These donations help nourish individuals and families in need across the Seattle area. Each month, we contribute more than $10,000 worth of fresh, high-quality meals—supporting our commitment to reducing food waste and giving back to the community we love.

Feeding the Community Through Crisis
When the pandemic hit Seattle, our world turned upside down overnight. We lost more than 80% of our business in just 48 hours as events and office gatherings vanished. Instead of closing our doors, however, we looked for a way forward.
Founder Alissa committed to keeping the team working and redirected our resources to meet urgent community needs. We partnered with organizations including Amazon, FareStart, King County Housing Authority, and Seattle Public Schools to prepare and deliver meals to seniors, frontline workers, food-insecure families, and thousands of schoolchildren on assisted meal programs. Through this nearly three-month partnership, we provided over 150,000 meals.
We also worked with corporate partners to serve meals to first responders, hospital staff, women and youth experiencing homelessness, and families staying at Ronald McDonald House while receiving medical care. In total, Gourmondo delivered more than one million meals to those in need during the pandemic.
What began as a crisis response became a lasting commitment. Today, our philanthropic work is an everyday part of our operations. It reflects our belief that good business and community care go hand in hand, and that food is one of the most human ways to show up for one another.
